4-Year Courses
A. Bachelor of Theology
A degree intended for students considering full-time work in the ministry as pastor, teacher or administrator. This degree normally requires four years to complete and majors in courses in systematic theology, pastoral theology, evangelism, cell training, church and educational administration. Required number of units for graduation is 147.
B. Bachelor of Christian Education
This degree is designed for those considering full-time ministry in Christian education in the local church. This includes ministry to children, youth and adults, cell training and the administration of the total church educational program. The degree normally requires four years and concentrates on training in Christian education. Required number of units for Graduation is 147.
2-Year Courses
A. Certificate in Christian Ministries
The certificate course is a two-year program designed to train laymen for volunteer ministries in the church.
- Graduates of the certificate course will not usually be considered for employment in the Faith Evangelical Church of the Philippines (FECP).
- To be admitted to the FBC certificate program, the applicant must be:
- Recommended by his or her pastor.
- Pass the FBC entrance exams.
- Certificate students who have excellent grades and character may, upon the completion of the two-year certificate course, apply to the FBC Admissions Committee to transfer to the BTH degree program. If approved by the Admissions Committee their credits may be applied towards their degree requirements.
B. Certificate in Church Music
The thrust of the CCM program is to train young men and women to fulfill the role of a music minister as a worshipper, servant leader, disciple, and witness. Music as the focus and content is within the context of worship of God, ministry to and edificationof the church, and reaching out to the world in evangelism and missions.
In order to be effective in their musical expression and communication, students are required to show comprehensive knowledge and skills in the rudiments of music. To balance the value of excellence and artistry in their musical craft is a curricular insistence on the relational and spiritual character of the student’s ministry.
1-Year Certificate Courses
Certificate courses are one-year programs of study designed to equip lay people for leadership ministries in their local churches.
- Certificate in Pastoral Ministry
Intended for laypeople desiring to serve in various ministries of the local church. It is also recommended for those who want to explore the call to ministry and are unable or undecided to pursue the 4-year track. - Certificate in Christian Education
Intended for the lay inclined to serve in the teaching ministries of the local church. - Certificate in Church Planting
For those who sense a call to plant and establish flourishing churches, make disciples and plant churches. - Certificate in Missions
Provides foundational knowledge and skills for Christians who sense a definite call to serve as missionaries.
